Prof. Kiama Gitahi, Principal CAVS on 27th February 2017, occasioned three Post Graduate Students for 5 months Exchange Program in Jagiellonian University, Poland.  This is inter- institutional agreement between African Dryland Institute for Sustainability (ADIS) at the  University of Nairobi (UoN) and Jagiellonian University (UJ) for both students and staff to strengthen research, consultancy, international partnership and cooperation. The students are expected to internationally network, develop research grant proposals, scientific publication, peer learning and international culture through this program. In his remarks, Principal CAVS encouraged students to establish great and long-term mentorship in consequent to PhD co- supervision. “Ensure you achieve your goals and utilise the time adequately” He added.

Beneficiary students Ms Bernice and Mr Rotich are MSC students from the department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology (LARMAT) and Mr Harrison MSC from the school of biological Sciences, Chiromo campus. The session was crowned by program coordinators, Dr Stephen Mureithi and Dr Judy Mbau both lecturers at LARMAT.

In attendance were Prof. John Kimenju, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Geoffrery Kironchi, LARMAT Chairman and Prof. Jesse Njoka, Director,  (ADIS), Peter Wekesa, College Registrar, CAVS. The program is anchored at LARMAT.
