Prof. J. Terrence McCabe, Director, Environment and Society Program, Department of Anthrophony, University of Colorado, Boulder, visited Prof. Jesse Njoka, Director African Drylands Institute for Sustainability (ADIS), for a meeting to discuss future collaboration in project implementation with University of Nairobi. Prof. Terrence wants to extend his research project from northern Tanzania to southern parts of Kenya. Prof. Terrence has 40 years of research experience in Eastern Africa focusing on socio-economic development, land use changes and livelihood strategies among the Maasai and the Turkana ethnic communities in Kenya. The meeting was attended by Prof. Robinson Kinuthia, Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology, Dr. Patrick Irungu, Department of Agricultural Economics, and Philemon Ng’asike, PhD student, Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology.
